The purpose of your organization:

Helping Hands Youth & Children, Inc. is a non- profit organization that offers five different programs to support young people to overcome barriers and obstacles to graduate from high school, to be college ready, and to be independent citizens. The programs are The Teen Moms Program, The teen Dads Program, The Students at risk Program, The Learning Support Program and The Advocacy Program.

The Teen Dads and Moms programs are for young men and women between the ages of 12 and 22 who have chosen to parent their child, but who have not yet obtained their high school diplomas. In an effort to prevent and eliminate drop-outs, and in return for their efforts to postpone subsequent pregnancies and be engaged full-time in school, all teens in the program receive support from one-on-one visits, learning support, counseling before and after delivery, Nutritional seminars, Educational Workshops, Mentors, Child care services and community referrals as appropriate.
